About The Photographer

At an early age, Miphi Hall began taking pictures with her Brownie Hawkeye and was hooked on photography. Unusual visual images particularly catch her eye: the contrast of cloud and sky, the complexity of an insect or flower close up, an individual face, an expressive pose, unique details of man-made objects. She has worked at sharpening her ability to see through classes in drawing, painting, and sculpture, as well as photography.

Throughout a twenty-plus-year career in banking, she described herself as “an artist in banker’s clothing.” The enormous relief of shedding that dual role and the freedom to focus now on what she loves bring both excitement and challenge. She is thrilled to share her photographs with others who enjoy the creative play and display of the world around us.
